This is a cookie recipe I bake often. So I decided to share it with the world. To save bandwidth the images are in low resolution, click on them to download the full size version. Cut the baking margarine into small pieces and melt it. Start preheating the oven to 180°C.
Prepare the 500g flour and 200g sugar while it's melting.
When the margarine is molten mix it with sugar.
Add the citric acid to the liquid. (or the baking powder)
Add the flavor. In this case I used cinnamon. The following flavors I have tried so far and worked well:
Add the baking soda to the flour. (This is not necessary if you are using baking powder)
Mix the flour and soda thoroughly (for 2 minutes or so).
Break eggs and mix it to the liquid.
Mix the flour with the liquid.
Mix them thoroughly until all flour are used up. You should get a single blob of dough. If it's too dry, add some water. If it's too wet add more flour.
Flatten the dough.
Cut a grid pattern into the dough
Cut out the cookie disks from the dough and put it into the baking
Form another ball of dough of the remaining dough, flatten it, stripe it and cut more disks.
The disks should fill the baking tray.
Bake for 25 minutes in the oven.
After the baking is finished, let it cool down in the tray before taking it out.
Done.
